Tolkeins, "Lord of the Rings," has enchanted me since I first read the books during
the 70s. "The Ents..." is one of several paintings I have completed, inspired by the books.
In 1976 the U.S. Supreme Court reinstated Capital Punishment after previously declaring it to be
unconstitutional. Gary Gilmore was the first person executed after reinstatement. He was executed by firing squad
in the State of Utah, on January 17, 1977.
